The 25th Year Reunion of the Prescott High School Class of 1973 was held on Friday and Saturday, October 30-31, 1998. The group attended the homecoming football game on Friday night and an after-game reception hosted by classmate Steve Crow . On Saturday the group visited and had an informal dinner at the Prescott VFW. The barbeque beef brisket and pork dinner was catered by Maxine's.

Several classmates brought along their children to the Friday night events.

The invitation incorrectly listed Linda Christopher as deceased. We were very happy to hear from her with the comment "Surprise! I am still among the living!"

Scholarship Fund

The PHS Class of 1973 wants to start a scholarship fund. Additional thoughts and ideas about the scholarship are included with this newsletter.

Classmates are asked to make suggestions and to send a pledge for the fund, but no money needs to be sent now. When enough response shows the scholarship fund can become a reality, a scholarship committee will be formalized. Then the Committee will ask for the pledges to be completed.

30th Year Reunion Planned!

The Reunion Committee is already working on the 30th Year Reunion, which will be held in 2002 or 2003. Classmates are being asked to let the Committee know their preferences among several dates.

The most-mentioned dates are the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 30, 2002, and the Saturday after Christmas, December 28, 2002. Other dates mentioned are homecoming weekend 2002 which is appropriate for our football year, the Saturday before Chris tmas, December 21, 2002 the Saturday before Easter, April 18, 2003, a weekend in May 2003 to coincide with the 30th anniversary of our graduation, and football homecoming weekend 2003.

The Reunion Committee hopes every classmate can attend the 30th Year Reunion. By selecting a date within the next few months, the committee hopes there will be ample time to locate and notify all classmates and the classmates will have time to make arra ngements to be at the reunion.

To assist the Committee in sending every classmate an invitation, the Committee asks everyone to check the lists on this newsletter. Anyone with needed information (change of name, change of spouse, change of address, etc.) is asked to contact the commi ttee (address below).

Web Site Established

The PHS Class of 1973 has an internet web site. The site contains senior year material such as newspaper stories, senior biographies, class wills, class prophecies and the commencement program. In addition, the souvenir programs from the 10th year, 20t h year and 25th year reunions are available. Pages for the forthcoming 30th year reunion and the class's plans to establish a scholarship fund are also linked to the class's home page.

The web site was created by and is managed by Danny Stewart. Debbie Butler O'Keefe typed in most of the older material. Debbie is currently working to add the stories from the 1972-1973 editions of the Dynamo. It is hoped the senior pages from the 1973 Wolf Trail can be added, too. Other submissions and suggestions are welcome.

About the Committee

The Reunion Organization Committee is a group of classmates who volunteer to put together the reunion. The persons on the committee have varied from the 10th Year to the 20th Year to the 25th Year. Most live in or near Prescott, but some travel 50-100 miles to join the fun of planning the Reunion.

When the committee starts to meet, notices of meetings are placed in the local newspaper. Anyone who wants to be on the Committee should make contact so we can compile the information for the next time around.
